Tana Broke Her Dang Knee - Please Help!

HELLO CONDOLING COMMUNITY,

Our beloved Tana Lee (a.k.a. Shea), a 3rd generation Marathonian and granddaughter of Maisie Lee has sustained a terrible injury by fracturing her patella (kneecap) in multiple places while enjoying a day off at home with her brother, Trey, on April 16th. Patella fractures represent only 1% of all human bone fractures (rare), are extremely painful, and require a long, challenging healing process.

How Could This Happen?

Like a good Texan, Tana was minding her business sitting on a tall tailgate shooting the breeze, but this breeze got the best of her as she tumbled off said tailgate. Adding insult to injury, this prevented Tana from attending the Mudbug Gala at the French Co, a Marathon Public Library fundraiser on that same day.

Who is she?

Don't take my word for it-- Tana is among the most loved humans in Brewster County. Marathonians ceratainly know this. She has been with us full time at the French Co for over a year, she is part of our family, and we are taking this opportunity to support her when she needs it most. Until Tana is able to return to work, we are doing everything we can to support her.
